Photography - overview

The photography phase takes a SKU from raw capture to approved, edited images ready for PPID export. All review happens in Iconik - the shared review tool - and every decision flips a Monday subitem status. For each SKU these steps live in the subitems on the Product Planning (NPI) board.

  1. photography_originals - the RAW, flat, unedited captures produced by AMC/USA or an outside vendor. The Product Manager selects which angles move forward; selected angles are edited by Jude Li and team.
  2. photography_versions - the edited/post-processed images for the selected angles. The PM reviews until satisfied, then approves the angles to carry forward as PPID candidates.
  3. Approved images flow into the PPID & web export stage.

For the full step-by-step (Iconik thumbs-up/down, Monday status flips, and the reshoot exception), see Capture & PM selection.

The photography_versions subitem is Approved with the PPID angle selection made - only approved angles (green thumbs up) are eligible to become ppid_images.
